ОДКБ подвела итоги пятилетней борьбы с терроризмом и наркотрафиком

As Asia24 reports, the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) has summarized the results of a five-year cycle of special operations 'Mercenary,' 'Channel,' 'Illegal,' and 'Proxy,' recording key quantitative indicators of the joint work of member states.

According to official data, during the specified period, 8,374 units of firearms, over 59,000 rounds of ammunition, and two tons of explosives were seized from illegal circulation. Based on these facts, 296 criminal cases were initiated. In the field of counter-terrorism, 46 terrorist attacks were prevented, and the activities of 307 relevant groups were suppressed.

The 'Channel' operation was recognized as the most effective. Over five years, 437 tons of narcotic drugs were seized, significantly exceeding seizures in other areas. Originally created as a specialized tool to combat drug trafficking, this operation demonstrates the highest efficiency. The organization emphasizes that the scale of identified transit flows is still far from complete elimination, and therefore, the CSTO's main operational and resource potential is currently concentrated on the anti-drug direction.
